The 2023-2024 season marks Coach Woods's 13th full season with the team.  Coach Woods helped start the team in January 2011 as an assistant coach. She became head coach for the first full season in the fall of 2011.

 

She helped start and coached all five Paulding County teams for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 seasons, returning just to North Paulding for the 2014-2015 season.

 

Coach Woods swam for Marietta Stingrays growing up and swimming at Kennesaw Mountain High School under David Reason. She swam club swimming for two years at Georgia College and State University where she got her Bachelors in Special Education in 2009.  She received her masters in 2012 from Walden University. In 2021 she received her specialist in Special Education from Walden University. 

 

Coach Woods currently teaches at Shelton Elementary School, teaching Interrelated 3rd grade. This is her 15th year teaching. She was selected teacher of the year at HJMS in 2020.

 

She was GHSA 1-5a girls coach of the year for the 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 swim seasons.

She was voted Northwest Georgia's Positive Female Coach of the Year in 2016.
